Music Days

We hold music days three times a year, in Spring, Summer and Autumn. These allow children to discover music and to develop both musical and social skills under the guidance of top-class professional music animateurs in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

No experience is necessary. All children from 8-12 are welcome to come along, with or without instruments and whatever their standard. Participants make new friends and discover that making music together is easy and lots of fun!

Schools Partnership Project

Local schools in areas of regeneration nominate 6 pupils per school, who would specially benefit from the unique experience, to take part in the music days. These children are able to participate as a result of Roman River Music fundraising activities and bursary schemes.

Each music day takes a piece or style of music as its inspiration. Participants enjoy games that explore improvisation, drama, movement, rhythm and voice and which culminate in a performance which stars the whole group.

Participants in our Autumn workshops will be offered free tickets to a festival concert.

Cost

Cost for unassisted places is £20, or £35 for two children from the same family. However, no-one is prevented from taking part through lack of funds. Bursaries and reduced fees are available on request.
Please email us for more information and to reserve your place.
